There are other images without a warning for the blood, but if this is too offensive, please drop me a note and I'll put a warning on it.

A painting with a real face! (Darth Maul doesn't count. He has tattoos that hide facial features.) I wanted to paint Loki with his mouth sewn shut. I don't know why. Some twisted part of me likes that part.

Let me know what you think! I'm not happy with the coloring because it made the separation of hair and skin difficult. But overall, I think it was good practice.

Process: Sketch using grid method and a reference, then painted in photoshop with Adesso tablet. Not a tracing or a paint-over. My own work.

Loki character (from comics) belongs to Marvel. Tom Hiddleston belongs to himself :)

Why does abused-Loki make us fangirls happy. It's sick, I hate it so much.

Ha ha I don't know! I think people like it because of its complex issues. I personally enjoy the symbolism, but that's just me :)

I like the symbolism too, and I for some reason enjoy having my feels chopped up and thrown into a Magic Bullet and made into a feel-parfait.
It makes me so sad because you wanna help poor Loki ><

ha ha yes. nice analogy. feel-parfait. i like it!

at the same time, though, i'd like to see loki go through his punishment and see how it redeems/transforms him, if at all. maybe he gets more evil and angry. how does that change his view of the universe? things like that. getting into the psyche of a fictional character is very fun!

Yes, true that! And yes it is fun! It helps you understand the character a lot more. I started to go into a long synopsis of the Psychology of Loki Laufeyson when a girl told me that Loki is mean and like, evil and stuff. So basically I said
"He's not evil he's just misunderstood! None of you will ever understand his pain! I'm dissapoint!"

ha ha very true. although, it would be interesting to examine what exactly makes loki, or any villain for that matter, turn to violence to cope with their pain. for example, why did loki decide to try to raise an army and rule the world even though everyone around him still makes it clear that they accept him despite his parentage? super interesting to me at least :)

I happen to have a love for mad characters, because they're so complex and fun to examine. And once you do that, you find yourself relating to them and loving them all the more.
